This museum is not just a collection of objects or an exhibition of photographs; it is a tribute to the passion for heights, the connection with nature and the objects that have marked the history of mountaineering.

Here you will find a journey that will take you to capture emotions, challenges and admiration that only the mountain can generate. The exhibition is designed so that everyone can connect in a direct way with my world. Those who come to Mendietxe will be able to enjoy equipment that has been used in mythical ascents, historical collections of all kinds of mountain tools, as well as enjoy photographs of explorations that transmit the immensity of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. I assure you that it will not leave you indifferent.

But beyond the objects, what we really want to share with you is the essence of mountaineering: that impulse that drives us to climb higher, to push our limits, to find beauty and challenge in nature. We want this museum to be a place where you can feel inspired by the greatness of the mountain and the stories of overcoming that accompany it.

For me, mountaineering is not just about reaching the summit. It’s about the journey, about the lessons nature teaches us along the way, about the moments when you stop, take a deep breath and look at the world from a whole new perspective.
